Veneering consists of permanently covering the surface of a board with a thin layer of material – veneer. Its purpose is to create an aesthetic, decorative, and smooth surface with high resistance to external factors. A veneer press is used to apply such coatings.
Hydraulic presses for veneering
Applying veneer may seem simple at first glance, but in reality, the thin material is prone to breaking and cracking, which is why it requires proper handling to avoid losses. Moreover, bonding veneer to large surfaces requires precise glue application and sufficient pressure to remove all trapped air. A hydraulic veneer press handles this task perfectly. Why is removing air so important? Any gaps or bubbles left underneath are highly susceptible to damage. Even if they are not immediately visible, they can be damaged by impact or pressure, negatively affecting the furniture’s appearance.
A veneer press is a hydraulic device that applies strong pressure to bond a thin wooden sheet to the surface of wood or chipboard. As a result, air is thoroughly removed, and both materials are firmly bonded with adhesive across the entire surface.
